New opportunities for Swiss companies doing business in China

On 29 September 2013, China officially launched the so called Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone. The objectives of this project are:

  • Improvement of investment opportunities for foreign and domestic companies
  • Deregulation of currency exchange controls
  • Efficiency and flexibility regarding governmental regulations and legal environment

 

The Free Trade Zone aims to attract foreign and domestic investments from the following sectors:

  • Financial Services (Banking, Health Insurance, Finance Lease)
  • Shipping
  • Trade Services (Telco and Electronic Gaming Products)
  • Professional Services (Law Firms, HR services, Engineering, Design, etc.)
  • Entertainment (Agents, Performing Arts, etc.)
  • Public Services (Educational – Training Services, Medical Services)
