Brexit and other impacts on the European Transaction Market

Investment in the European real estate market dropped significantly in Q2 2016 compared to the same quarter last year, falling by 26 percent. EUR 107.5 billion was invested in H1 2016, down by 30 percent compared to the same period in 2015.

Global capital flows into European real estate

The investment activity of global investors is principally focusing on the highly liquid major cities such as London and Paris. However, increased activity was also noted in peripheral markets, which have attracted opportunistic capital mainly from the United States.
