Boards are ramping up investment in data security and privacy to become GDPR compliant, according the 2018 Harvey Nash/KPMG CIO Survey, to avoid data breaches which have reached an all-time high. In Switzerland, half of the survey participants were still GDPR non-compliant as of 3 April 2018.
Boosting speed to market, fostering innovation and implementing disruptive technologies are the top three strategic priorities of global businesses. That is one of the findings of this year’s global, cross-sector survey of around 1,300 CEOs conducted by KPMG.
Turbulent times see technology leaders get to grips with digital by focusing on consistency and stability as well as fostering innovation. Meanwhile, more CEOs and boards are turning to their CIOs for help in navigating the uncertainties, threats and opportunities in todays’ digital world.
